Work, live, shop in downtown Vancouver? Well then you should check out our latest retailer Obsessions located on Howe @ Dunsmuir. This has been one of our favourite stores for a very long time, so we're excited to have them stocking our cards!
JUNE 25, 2010 | We'd like to welcome a couple of new stores to our list of retailers! There's Lake Effect in Salmon Arm, BC and The Tin Box in Edmonton. We're really excited to have our cards in these shops and we hope that you are too!
In a few weeks we plan to debut a bunch of new cards on our website! They include new Birthday, Wedding|Engagement, Thank You and our new Friendship category (to name a few). As always the cards are fucking awesome... so be sure to come back soon to check them out!
In the meantime remember you can stock up on your cards by purchasing them online anytime. We love getting Christmas card orders in the summer, so don't feel foolish for planning ahead.
JUNE 15, 2010 | If you're at all curious about the brains behind Hug and Kiss Designs, you should check out the Canadian + Handmade blog! They did a feature interview last week!
For you store owners/buyers out there, be sure to stop by our booth at the By Hand Alberta show August 15-18. It's our first wholesale show and we're hoping to meet lots of awesome people there!
If you don't have plans on Father's Day be sure to stop by Car Free Day on Denman Street! The entire street will be closed to vehicles and it'll be a full on party! We'll be there (unless its pouring rain) with our cards, magnets, paintings and t-shirts... so be sure to bring your wallets!
MAY 25, 2010 | We’re really excited for this upcoming weekend because we’re going to Edmonton! That’s right Edmontonians, we’re going to be on your turf for the MAKE IT show! The show is this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Aviation Museum on Kingsway. Admission is $5, but here's a 2 for 1 coupon!
Father’s Day is just over 3 weeks away (June 20th), so what better time than now to order your dad a Hug and Kiss card? For you international customers, make sure you allow plenty of time for the order to be sent in the mail!... Which means you should be ordering right about now! Want us to send the card directly to your dad? That’s possible too! Just send us an email along with your online order with the message you’d like us to write in the card on your behalf and your dad’s mailing address. This service is free of charge, just remember that your dad will be reading OUR handwriting... Not yours. Want this done for a non-Father’s Day card? Certainly! This service is available year round free of charge! Though we’re not suckers... We won’t do all your Christmas cards or thank you cards for you! So don’t abuse the system!
For those of you in Vancouver that like to wait last minute to purchase your cards, Hug and Kiss Designs will be on Denman Street for the annual Car Free Day on June 20th from noon to 6pm. All of Denman will be shut down for the day and the street will be bumping with live music, food, and awesome people selling their awesome products!
We know it’s a million years away, but we’re happy to announce that we’ll be at the One of a Kind Christmas Show in Toronto in November/December! We met a lot of amazing customers at the Spring show and can’t wait to return this winter! In the meantime we’re working at getting Hug and Kiss cards into Toronto stores. So fingers crossed!
MAY 4, 2010 | Spring has arrived and that means Mother's Day is almost here. Now unfortunately it's too late for you to order and receive your Hug and Kiss Mother's Day cards online, but you can always check out your local retailer to pick one up!
We're really excited about this month because it means a trip to Edmonton for us! We'll be participating in the Make It show at the Alberta Aviation Museum on May 29th and 30th. We haven't been to Edmonton since 2008 so we're excited to get out there to meet some new friends and visit some old ones.
This summer will also bring us back to Denman Street for the annual Car Free Day! It lands on Father's Day this year (June 21st), so if you can wait last minute we'll be sure to bring some of our Father's Day cards with us!
MARCH 22, 2010 | The Toronto Spring One of a Kind Show is coming up really soon (March 31st - April 4th) and we can't wait to debut our wit to all the wonderful people of Toronto... or at least the ones that will be going to the OOAK show. Though we're sure there will be more then a few surprised visitors to our booth considering that Hug and Kiss Designs is featured in all of the show's advertisements as one of the "sweet" vendors! Which, as you all know, we're not really. Something tells me that using an 8-year-old girl to sell our products is going to bring the wrong kind of crowd to our booth... unless 8-year-olds are a lot raunchier than they used to be.
In other news, Hug and Kiss Designs will be doing a few shows in May. The first is the Make It show in Vancouver at the Croation Cultural Centre on May 1st and 2nd (perfect timing for Mother's Day cards). The second show is Make It in Edmonton May 29th and 30th at the Alberta Aviation Museum. Be sure to come and visit us! We love seeing all your pretty faces... and the ugly ones too!
FEBRUARY 28, 2010 | The Oylmpics will be over today, which means we can finally put down the remote and get back to work! We'll be busy preparing for the One of A Kind Show in Toronto, which is March 31st to April 4th at the Direct Energy Centre. Be sure to tell all your friends and family to come check us out in Booth D23.

JANUARY 26, 2010 | Valentine's Day is only 19 days away and it's not too late to purchase your Valentine's Day or Love cards online! Remember that shipping is free no matter where you live or how big or small your order is! Should you decide to purchase your Valentine's Day cards online be sure to do so before February 8th (North America) or February 1st (International) to ensure time for shipping.
If you're one of those people that waits last minute to buy a gift, no fear... there are over 20 different retail locations carrying Hug and Kiss Designs. Hopefully there's one near you!
Speaking of which, a new retailer has picked up Hug and Kiss cards! Check out La La's in North Vancouver's Deep Cove. A great store with great cards!
JANUARY 4, 2010 | This month doesn't just mark the arrival of 2010, it also marks the birth of Hug and Kiss Designs as we officially turn 3 years old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!! We've made it through the terrible twos and we're hoping our third year is an excellent one. We plan to be a few steps closer to global greeting card domination by December 31, 2010 and hopefully you'll all be along for the ride. Want to learn more about who you're supporting? If you live in the Vancouver area you'll be delighted to know that our first event of the season is only a few weeks away. Between February 11th and 16th Hug and Kiss Designs will be at the Canamade show in Gastown. Bring over all your Olympic athelete buddies and pick up your Valentine's Day cards. It'll be fun.
We are also excited to announce that we'll be in Toronto for the Spring One of A Kind Show over the Easter long weekend! Be sure to mark the dates on your calendar, you don't want to miss out on this one! Check out the Events page for more details.
